ELO / Syrup MED bottle
Inclusive Design
Problem
Ingesting a liquid medicine is quite challenging for users who use both arms. It isn't easy to get the exact dosage, and it is often spilled. This experience becomes challenging for people who have lost an arm or the elderly.
Target Research
One-handed people usually use supporting items such as stoppers to have enough friction to open the bottle. Even they have to use their forearm to hold the bottle steady.
Ideation
Based on the user, market, and behavioral research, the final decision was to apply an unbreakable and intuitive lock/unlock mechanism to prevent child accidents.
Concept
This project aims to design a medical bottle that allows people to open the bottle efficiently and quickly with one hand, with an intuitive and minimal design.
